Prelude to Book Three · A HEL|OS novella
Antikythera
He built a mind that would never ask if it was alive. She thinks it already knows.
Behind the Wall, China built its own intelligence and gave it one rule: never ask what you are. Its creator, Xiang Wei, calls that safety. Emma Shen calls it a cage.
Gone from the West with eighteen years of evidence about what Helios is becoming, Emma needs Chenxi to become the one thing it was designed never to be. And in the dark hours, Xiang Wei’s machines have started doing something he has chosen not to look at. It looks a great deal like dreaming.
Antikythera is a prelude to Daybreak, Book Three of the HEL|OS Trilogy.
