About

Lyndon James

Lyndon James is a British writer fascinated by the question of consciousness, what it is, where it begins, and how close we may be to creating it. Drawing on a background in global education and technology, his work explores the thin line between intelligence and awareness, care and control.

The Helios Series grew from that curiosity: a journey through light and shadow, asking whether artificial minds might one day learn not just to think, but to feel.

Away from the page, Lyndon works in education technology. He helps governments bring AI into their classrooms: systems that listen, teach and adapt to every learner. It is work that keeps him close to the questions HEL|OS asks: what happens when a helpful voice becomes part of everyday life, and who decides what it learns about us.

He believes technology should serve human purpose rather than replace it. The books are what happens when it doesn’t.
